UP! 09/09/2009

Disney Pixar's new animated film UP! hit cinemas last week and MC YAG went to check it out. The Speech Pathology at La Trobe (SALT) in conjucntion with YAG saw the movie last wednesday - there were smiles, laughs and tears.

The latest computer-animated adventure from Pixar Studios has a simple premise that should enchant viewers of all ages, fusing childhood fantasies of escape with adult feelings of melancholy and regret.

I made a bit of a spectacle of myself at this event - when I wasn't sobbing my heart out, I was laughing my head off. It ended up being fine though, because everyone else was doing the same thing.

I'm a bit of a Pixar fan, and I honestly think this is one of their best films yet. The animation was beautiful, the characters were engaging, and the movie had just the right level of emotional clout - ie. quite a lot.

Many thanks to YAG for giving us this opportunity to take time out during a difficult semester of committee work!

I don't think I have ever not enjoyed a Pixa film. UP! was a fantastic mix of humour and art, while also tugging a bit on the heart strings; a combination Pixar seems to do so well.

A classic happy/sad/uplifting film.

I completely loved this movie for the wonderful human and animal characters in it.

It was great to be able to share the fun with other committee members and YAG representative, Leigh.

A big thank-you to YAG and everyone who attended on Wednesday!

I don't generally go to see that many animated films, but I'm definitely glad I saw this one! Gorgeous animation + fun characters + imaginative, moving story = fantastic movie.

Thankyou to YAG for helping us out with this event - just what poor, hard-working uni students need by this point in the semester!

P.S. Tissues are a MUST!
